Christmas Opening hours.
The shop will be open between Christmas and New year, 10am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, closing on New Year's Day, and Sunday 2nd January. Normal hours again after that.

New book launch
John McFadzean's book, Mochrum: the Land and its People is now available exclusively from The Book Shop at a price of £20. There will be a book launch with the author signing copies in Monreith House on Saturday 1st August, at 12.30pm. Food and wine will be available.

Tenth Wigtown Book Festival
The programme is now available for this year's Book Festival. The line-up includes festival regular Louis de Bernieres, A L Kennedy, Fay Weldon, James Kelman, Janice Galloway, Richard Holloway, Brian Keenan, Hardeep Singh Kohli, and HRH the Princess Royal, amongst a wealth of others.
