September Festival programme

This year's Literary Festival line-up is an Adie to Zhang of figures from the world of culture, media and literature including Magnus Magnusson, George Galloway, Joan Bakewell & Lucia Graves amongst a host of others. Book early, this year's festival promises to be busy, with the welcome return of the Fresh Lobster Cafe and an indulgent celebration of the films of one of Wigtown's most famous sons, James Robertson Justice, at the Distillery. Subjects under discussion this year include Adoption, The Covenanters, Climate Change, Iceland, Art, Africa, Exploration, Churchill, World War, Terrorism, Antiques and many others. With all this, nearly half a million books and a distillery what more could you want?
