Most days people bring books to the shop at a rate of about 100 a day on all subjects, but we also clear larger private collections. These are listed chronologically below.

A large collection of sporting books, mainly on big game hunting in Africa.

A lot of new material has been acquired over the past few months, including a large number of unread modern paperbacks in As New condition, a lot books on the history of maps and map making, and a range of other subjects.

A collection of gardening books, approx. 200 titles.

We've been on the road buying a lot recently, from the library of a retired minister in Rothesay to several large local collections.  About 3,000 new books have come in over the past week.

A set of Audubon's Birds of America, in Very Good condition.  This set will be selling through Lyon & Turnbull in Edinburgh.
